Cyclone Dust Collectors
The Cleaner and Safer Dust Containment Solution
Cyclone dust collectors feature two collection points for dust and debris:
- Heavy chips and matter are collected at the primary collection point under the cyclone
- Fine particulate is captured at the second point (in after filter bags)
Dirty air enters the cyclone and spins around the center. Centrifugal force causes larger sediment and fine particulate to be knocked out of the airstream and travel down the rest of the cyclone where it is collected underneath. The clean air then travels back up through the center and is released out the top, either releasing it to the facility or outside
The Low Cost, Low Maintenance System for Dry Dust Collection
Cardinal Air offers three Imperial Systems cyclone dust collector options to provide superior dry dust collection in a wide range of applications. The cyclone dust collector design significantly diminishes the amount of particles contacting the filter element and reduces the frequency of cleaning and replacing expensive filters.
Cardinal Air brings extensive experience and expert knowledge to every project we design. We develop dependable custom solutions powered by the industry’s best equipment. You can count on your cyclone dust collector system to reliably and efficiently meet your needs. Call us to discuss your project!

Cyclone Dust Collectors: The Cleaner and Safer Dust Containment Solution
At Cardinal Air Design, we engineer cyclone dust collector systems that deliver exceptional dry dust collection performance for a wide range of industrial applications. Designed for durability, efficiency, and minimal maintenance, our cyclone collectors offer an advanced, low-cost solution for facilities handling high volumes of dust, chips, or particulates.
The Cleaner and Safer Dust Containment Solution
A cyclone dust collector is built on a simple yet powerful principle — centrifugal separation. As dirty air enters the cyclone, it spins rapidly around the center. This spinning motion forces heavier particles and debris to move outward to the walls of the cyclone chamber. The heavier materials then lose velocity and fall into the primary collection area located beneath the cyclone, while the lighter, finer dust particles continue upward toward the secondary collection stage.
Our systems feature two efficient collection points for maximum containment and separation:
Primary collection point: Captures heavy chips, shavings, and coarse debris directly beneath the cyclone.
Secondary collection point: Captures finer particulates within after-filter bags, ensuring clean air is released back into your facility or vented outside.
This two-stage collection process allows our dust collectors to efficiently handle a broad range of particle sizes while maintaining excellent air quality. The clean air is drawn back through the center of the cyclone and discharged through the top, significantly reducing airborne contaminants and promoting a safer, cleaner work environment.
The Low-Cost, Low-Maintenance System for Dry Dust Collection
Cardinal Air offers three Imperial Systems cyclone dust collector configurations — Standard Efficiency, High Efficiency, and Ultra-High Efficiency — to suit diverse application needs. Each unit is crafted to minimize filter wear, lower maintenance requirements, and extend the life of your dust collection system.
Because the cyclone design separates most of the heavy and fine particulates before they reach the filters, fewer particles contact the filter media. This reduces the frequency of filter cleaning, minimizes downtime, and saves costs associated with filter replacement. The result is a dust collector that operates longer, more efficiently, and with lower lifetime operating costs.
Our team has years of experience engineering systems tailored to specific environments, ensuring that your cyclone dust collector meets every performance demand.
